SHIPPING POLICY — THE REFINED ATELIER

1. ORDER PROCESSING AND HANDLING TIME
All orders placed at The Refined Atelier are processed and dispatched from our facilities within 3 to 5 business days.
  • Business Days: Monday through Friday, excluding UK public bank holidays.
  • Cut-off Time: Orders placed after 4:00 PM GMT will begin processing the following business day.
  • Tracking: You will receive an automated shipping confirmation email containing a tracking number and courier details the moment your order is handed over to our delivery partner.
2. ESTIMATED TRANSIT & DELIVERY TIMELINES
We ship globally to a wide range of international destinations. Below are our fixed estimated delivery timelines after an order has been dispatched:
  • United Kingdom Domestic: 3 to 7 business days
  • Europe & EU Destinations: 5 to 10 business days
  • North America (USA & Canada): 5 to 14 business days
  • Rest of the World: 10 to 21 business days
Please Note: These timelines are estimates provided by our logistics partners. While we do everything possible to ensure on-time delivery, transit times may vary slightly during peak holiday seasons or due to regional postal delays.
3. TRANSIT RISK AND LOSS (UK CONSUMER RIGHTS ACT 2015)
  • For Consumer Purchases (B2C): In compliance with UK law, The Refined Atelier retains the risk of loss or damage to the goods during transit. The products remain our responsibility until they are physically delivered to your specified shipping address or signed for by an authorised individual.
  • For Commercial Purchases (B2B): If you are purchasing on behalf of a business, the risk of loss, damage, and title transfers to your enterprise the moment the goods are handed over to our shipping carrier.
4. INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMS, DUTIES, AND IMPORT TAXES
Because The Refined Atelier is a UK-based business shipping internationally, your order may be subject to local import duties, customs tariffs, Value Added Tax (VAT), and courier clearance fees upon arrival in your destination country.
  • Importer of Record: By completing your purchase, you acknowledge that you are designated as the official "Importer of Record" for the shipment. You are solely responsible for adhering to all local import laws and regulations.
  • Payment of Duties: The Refined Atelier has no control over customs charges and cannot predict their exact cost. You are strictly responsible for paying all additional customs clearance and import fees.
  • Refused Deliveries: If you refuse an international delivery due to import fees, the courier will return the package to us. Any return shipping fees, customs charges, or handling penalties levied on The Refined Atelier will be deducted from your final product refund.
5. UNDELIVERABLE PACKAGES AND INCORRECT ADDRESSES
You are responsible for ensuring that your shipping address is entered accurately, completely, and in full during checkout.
If a package is deemed undeliverable by the courier due to an incorrect address, missing apartment/suite numbers, or repeated failed delivery attempts where the customer is unreachable, the package may be returned to us. In these scenarios, you will be responsible for the cost of re-shipping the items to a verified address.
